Basic Fly Tying Classes Start In January At Bass Pro Shops Sportsman's Center

Auburn, NY - Fly anglers are a unique breed of fishermen. They can take a hook, tie on some feathers and synthetic materials and produce a fishing lure that marvels something "Mother Nature" created herself. Beginning on January 12, Bass Pro Shops Sportsman's Center in the Fingerlakes Mall will host two 6-week basic fly tying courses in the WhiteRiver Fly Shop. Classes will be held on Monday afternoons from 2-4 pm starting on January 12 running through February 16 and on Thursday evenings from 6:15 - 8:15 pm starting on January 15 and running until February 19. Students should bring their own vise and tools while a text book, hooks and materials will be provided. Cost of the course will be $35 and class size is limited.
