Carmen Cosentino was born into the florist business in 1932 and has been a florist all his life.  He graduated in 1954 from Cornell University with a major in horticulture. He purchased the family business in 1962 at which time he began changing from a greenhouse grower operation to heavily retail. As a distinguished florist he worked on flowers for four Presidential Inaugurations and 2 White House Christmases. Carmen will present a slide presentation showing the evolution of floriculture over the years through his eyes and his travels.  Carmen will also talk about the florists that lived and worked in Auburn. He will also show how to make an easy fall centerpiece. There will also be a question and answer session at the end of the program.
