Historical Marker Unveiling: John Irving

The Frontenac Historical Society & Museum are pleased to announce the dedication of a historical marker recognizing former Union Springs resident, John Irving, to be held on Wednesday, July 28th at 2pm.  The ceremony will be held at Irving's former home located at 13 Cayuga St. (Route 90) in Union Springs.  Irving was a Cayuga Lake schooner master, artisan and stonemason who carved the stones for the earliest buildings at Cornell.  Funding for the marker was provided by the William T. Pomeroy Foundation.  All are welcome to attend.
