For the seventh annual Parlor Music Concert, the Seward House Museum is pleased to welcome tenor soloist Pablo Willey-Bustos. From the magnificent setting of the Museum’s Drawing Room, and enhanced by its 1872 Steinway piano, Willey-Bustos’s tour-de-force performance will transport listeners across the musical landscape of the 19th century.
Bustos is a faculty member at the Eastman School of Music in Rochester. In addition to performing in concerts across the country, his recent operatic appearances include: Alfred in Strauss’ Die Fledermaus, the Witch in Humperdinck’s Hansel and Gretel, Tamino in Mozart’s Die Zauberflote, and Colin in the East coast premiere of Nolan Gasser’s opera The Secret Garden.
Bustos’s accompanist on the piano is Howard Spindler. A long time chairperson of the Piano Department at Eastman, Spindler is an accomplished chamber musician and pianist. A reception with the artists follows the performance.
