Kirsten Wise, Curator at the Cayuga Museum, will present reflections on the exhibit 1918: A Century Later. World War I was raging in Europe and the flu pandemic was beginning. Women's suffrage had not yet passed in all states. The Great Migration of African Americans to the industrialized north had begun. Reformers sought an end to child labor. Immigrants continued to arrive in large numbers. Cities grew and neighborhoods changed and the automobile was rapidly altering the lives of ordinary Americans.
