For adventurous types an abundance of outdoor recreational opportunities are ready for you to conquer. Don’t think you have to wait until summer to enjoy the great outdoors. Cayuga County’s well - groomed trails are perfect for cross-country skiing, snowmobiling and hiking through the natural beauty of winter in the Finger Lakes.
The Finger Lakes region is nationally recognized for its wineries, but its breweries are equally impressive. Travel the Finger Lakes Beer Trail and visit breweries, brewpubs, tap houses, tasting rooms, beer stores and restaurants that feature fabulous Finger Lakes brews!
Cayuga County and the Finger Lakes are full of events and festivals throughout the year. Spring kicks off with the Wine & Herb Festival along the Cayuga Wine Trail, followed by the Finger Lakes Musical Theatre Festival throughout the summer and early fall. Late fall brings the Quilts=Art=Quilts, juried quilt exhibit at the Schweinfurth Art Center and we start to dream of Christmas during the Holiday Traditions celebration at Auburn’s museums and cultural sites in December.
