The annual Ledyard NY reading of the Declaration of Independence is a community Fourth of July tradition held at 11 a.m. on July 4th at the Ledyard Town Hall (1099 Poplar Ridge Rd). Hosted by the Town of Ledyard and the Aurora Historical Society, the event features a dramatic reenactment with a rider on horseback delivering the news, followed by the public reading, music, and refreshment. Attendees can visit the nearby Press of Robert LoMascolo for a hands-on experience printing the document.
