Prison City Brewing 

No conversation about Cayuga County craft beer is complete without Prison City Brewing. Known for its award-winning IPAs like the legendary *Mass Riot*, Prison City has built a reputation far beyond Auburn for bold, hop-forward beers and a lively, welcoming brewpub experience.

Dawn Schulz, co-founder of Prison City Brewing, has made a mark on the craft beer industry. Alongside her husband, Marc, she has transformed Prison City into a nationally recognized brand, known for its creative brews and locally inspired cuisine.

With two locations in downtown Auburn and along North Street, Prison City blends small-batch creativity with a true community gathering space, where great beer and local pride go hand in hand. 

 Shep’s Brewing Company

Shep’s Brewing Company continues to carve out its own identity in the local craft beer landscape with approachable, well-crafted beers and a strong sense of community connection.

Aurora Brewing Company

Lunkenheimer Craft Brewing 

Kristen Lunkenheimer is the co-founder of Lunkenheimer Craft Brewing Co., Cayuga County’s first licensed brewery since Prohibition. Established in 2013 with her husband, Derrick Slocum, LCBC has become a staple in the region, known for its dedication to quality and community.

Lunkenheimer Craft Brewing Company brings a classic, approachable take on craft brewing rooted in traditional styles and local pride. As one of Cayuga County’s pioneering breweries, Lunkenheimer has helped shape the region’s beer culture from the start.

Expect well-balanced ales, seasonal releases, and a welcoming taproom that reflects the spirit of its Weedsport home.
