Draw to the Live Music of Vance Gilbert with Artist Suzanne Beason
Sunday, August 16 from 12:00–1:00 PM
Join us for a very special hour before our Sunday SoundWaves concert on August 16 at the Sterling Nature Center.
Acclaimed singer-songwriter Vance Gilbert will be performing live while local artist Suzanne Beason leads a drawing session inspired by his music. Suzanne will guide participants as they draw, sketch, paint, or simply enjoy being creative while listening to Vance’s live performance.
No experience is necessary. Whether you’re an artist, enjoy being creative, or simply love great live music, this program is for you. The program is free and open to all ages, and materials will be provided.

Sunday Soundwaves, August 16 1-4 PM
We’re excited to welcome nationally acclaimed singer-songwriter Vance Gilbert, with Colleen Kattau opening the afternoon at 1PM.
Bring a lawn chair, enjoy live music overlooking Lake Ontario, and spend a relaxing afternoon at the Nature Center. Big Awesome BBQ will be on site with food available for purchase throughout the event.

Sunday Soundwaves returns on August 23, with an afternoon of live music featuring the talented students of Gina Marie Music Studio.
From 1:00 to 4:00 PM, you’ll hear performances by Tangerine Sky, Murray Street Mob, The Bad Apa’s, King Rebels, and Triad Trio as they share the music they’ve been working hard to create.
Bring a lawn chair, relax, and enjoy an afternoon of great local music while supporting these talented performers. Whether you come for one performance or stay for the whole afternoon, we hope you’ll spend part of your Sunday with us at the Sterling Nature Center.
