Film Series 2026: Music Legends
We are very excited about our upcoming Film Series at the Arts Center! This year, we've decided to focus the films on various Music Legends (see below). The films will be at 6:30 in our "Performance" Barn on the first Tuesday of the month. Our first film, Bohemian Rhapsody, will be on May 5. Admission is free, the films are thought provoking & exciting - our film series coordinator, Stephen Wurst, will set the stage for each with an introduction and oftentimes folks will stay for a discussion afterwards. A great way to share a good film with others in the community!
Music Legends Film Series 2026 – First Tuesday of the month
Films begin at 6:30 pm *** Free Admission
May 5: Bohemian Rhapsody (2018). Iconic rock band Queen’s tumultuous rise to fame and Freddy Mercury’s personal struggles are depicted in this acclaimed film. Rated PG-13.
June 2: Yesterday (2019). Imaginative, entertaining film about a struggling musician who realizes he is the only person on Earth who can remember The Beatles after waking up in an alternate reality where the “Fab Four” never existed. Rated PG-13.
July 7: Deliver Me from Nowhere (2025). This film chronicles the making of Bruce Springsteen’s 1982 album Nebraska, influenced by his childhood traumas, and battling with record company executives. Rated PG-13.
August 4: Walk the Line (2005). This film tells the story of how Johnny Cash overcame early struggles, married and had children, gained music fame in Memphis, and fell in love with signer June Carter. Rated PG-13.
September 1: What’s Love Got to Do with It (1993). This film reveals the unflinching story of Tina Turner’s rise to rock ‘n’ roll stardom and how she gained the courage to break free from her abusive husband, Ike Turner. WARNIG: This film contains scenes of domestic and sexual violence. Rated R.
