One of the most charming villages in the Finger Lakes is Aurora, which sits on the eastern shore of Cayuga Lake, the longest of the Finger Lakes. Approximately halfway down the lake, Aurora offers waterfront charm and a laid back grace of yesteryear with the cultural and educational opportunities that comes from being a college town, as it is home to Wells College. Small boutiques, shops, fine restaurants and historic sites line its main street. And within a short drive of the village proper, there are wineries, world class dining, farm markets and artisan shops to wile away downtime hours.
Aurora is easily walkable, not requiring mass transit to get around. However limousine and touring companies are available for offsite trips.
