Trails
Happy Trails to you….
Lace up your hiking boots or grab your bike to experience, explore, and enjoy the great outdoors on one of Cayuga County’s well groomed trails. You will find easy trails less than two miles long along old railroad beds that wind through woods, wetlands and farmlands to more challenging trails that take you through thirteen miles of forest.
Enjoy a little history along the trail when you travel the Erie Canal Recreational Trail that follows an historic towpath or on the meandering trail through Montezuma Canal Heritage Park where you can view the magnificent Richmond Aqueduct, the second largest aqueduct on the Erie Canal.
Walk your dog (on leash), cross-country ski, ride your ATV, horseback ride or snowmobile through Cayuga County while enjoying the great outdoors. Don’t forget to bring the camera (or smart phone!).
